Unfortunately, only about 5% of those affected survive. Well-trained first responders, who know exactly what to do thanks to their training, can improve this percentage! After completing my comprehensive BLS-AED course, you will be one of them. I will teach you how to save the lives of people experiencing a cardiac arrest incident.

BLS-AED-SRC-Generic Provider

The course format aims to deepen and apply BLS-AED skills in cases of cardiac arrest in adults and children in different situations. Participants will apply basic life support (BLS) measures, including automated external defibrillation (AED) in children and adults in different situations, taking into account their own safety. This course lasts 4 hours and can be conducted with a maximum of 8 participants.

The course comprises the following:

Providing assistance while ensuring your own safety
Recognizing and assessing emergency situations
Information about the national emergency number (supplemented by emergency local protocols, where necessary)
Assessing the situation and problem solving in various emergency scenarios including heart attacks and strokes
Explanation and discussion of the chain of survival
Placing an unconscious person in the recovery position
Action to be taken in the case of airway obstruction caused by foreign objects
Step-by-step procedure according to the "BLS-AED-SRC algorithm" as a one- and two-rescuer method
Basic training skills
Initial assessment and alerting
Chest compressions
Ventilation with and without aids (aids adapted to the contextual realities of the participants)
How to use an AED
All procedures for adults and children
Teamwork and communication
Working through different case scenarios involving resuscitation
Motivations for helping incl. facilitating and inhibiting factors
Basic ethical principles
Legal aspects: liability for failing to provide assistance
Criteria for high-performance basic support (HPCPR)
Reference to participation in first responder systems

BLS-AED-SRC-Basic Provider

This course format focuses on effectively teaching the basic steps of reanimation (CPR) with as few barriers to participation as possible. Participants will master the basic skills of CPR for adults. This course format lasts 2 hours and can be conducted with a maximum of 8 participants.
